Amy Flavin

Associate Staff, CPYU

 

In addition to being a CPYU Associate Staff member, Amy is a therapist in New Jersey with over 16 years experience having worked extensively with adolescents and families. She is also an adjunct professor at Nyack College in Manhattan. She teaches Adolescent Psychology, Interpersonal Communication, Child Psychology and Family Counseling.

 

Amy’s seminars focus on mental health topics and such issues as eating disorders, the impact of divorce, depression and suicide, child and adolescent psychology and parenting.

 

Amy has also been a seminar speaker at the National Youthworkers Convention addressing the topics of minding your family while in ministry, and mental health issues in the adolescent population. She has also been a speaker at the American Psychotherapy Association’s National Convention.

 

Amy received her BA from DePauw University and a MS in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is a Member of the American Psychotherapy Association and a Board Certified Professional Counselor.
