The companion site to the award-winning PBS documentary of the same name that examines teen spirituality and religious beliefs. The site includes information on how to order the film, along with downloadable discussion guides for use by parents, public schools and private schools.
World Religion Statistics
This is a growing collection of tens of thousands of statistics related to religious membership around the world. Visitors can search a variety of adherent statistics including churches, denominations, faith groups, tribes, cultures, movements, etc. It also includes lists of influential and famous adherents of over 100 different religious groups.
National Study of Youth and Religion
The National Study of Youth and Religion is being conducted at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill under the direction of Dr. Christian Smith, professor of sociology. This initiative is seeking to provide fresh and unique perspectives on today's youth and their responses to religion. A regular e-email newsletter is available and a conference is in the planning stages.
This site helps youth workers, parents and college freshman connect with a campus ministry at college. Users can fill out an online form and receive of list of campus ministry opportunities on the campus of their choice. A good way to connect students before they head off to school.
Cult Awareness and Information Centre
With a growing interest in spirituality sweeping through today's youth culture, many young people are turning to alternative religions and cults for fulfillment. This site is a good starting point for information on particular cults, their appeal, and their influence.
Christian Answers for the New Age
The Christian Answers for the New Age (CANA) web site is a vehicle for the engaging testimony of former astrologer Marcia Montegro. It also includes archived descriptions of various alternative spiritualities, their relationship to Biblical truths and many other helpful topics.
A multi-faith e-community designed to "help you meet your own religious and spirtual needs in an interesting, captivating and engaging way". Not affiliated with any particular religion, this site serves as a gateway into learning more about today's spirtiual smorgasbord of faith options that kids are tapping into.
