When I was in high school, I can remember being asked the question over and over again: “What are you going to do with your life?” It may have been in the form of “what’s your plan for after high school?” or “do you know what career path you are going to pursue?” As a high school student trying to just navigate teenage life, these questions were daunting. How am I supposed to know what God wants me to do with my life? I can remember praying that God would give me a sign or somehow show me the answer to these questions. While it would be much easier if God would zap us if we were about to make a bad decision or drop a giant billboard in front of us to show us the right decision, that’s not how God works.
