Too Much Phone Time

The end of the year is fast approaching and it will be that time again when we engage in the annual tradition of making our New Year’s resolutions. The most common resolution people make relates to health, exercise, eating healthier, and losing weight. The number one resolution people break is, not surprisingly, losing weight and getting fit. Why is it that we know what we need to do, but then we fail rather quickly at doing it? In today’s rapidly developing digital world, we now have a second potential resolution that we all must consider making, but we might find way to easy to break. It has to do with how much time we spend with our smartphones. According to the Pew Research Center, just over half of all adults in the U.S. say they spend too much time on their smartphone. Parents, are you sacrificing time in God’s Word? Are you sacrificing precious time with your kids? Start thinking now about cutting back on your smartphone time, and make those cut-backs happen!
