Last Friday I spent the day with some Master’s students talking about social media. It was a good discussion regarding the immediate and long-term fall-out of our obsession with social media. As always, I need to say that technology is a good and helpful thing. . . if used properly and in a balanced manner. If not, the stuff that can actually foster our ability to connect, will further our disconnection. Ironic, isn’t it.
After our time in class, one of our students posted this funny (yet not-so-funny) music video on our class Facebook page. Thanks to Eric Upton for passing this along. I laughed, then felt horrible about laughing. Maybe this will help us wake-up.
