The Latest On Media Use By Teens & Tweens: A Helpful Infographic. . .

How much time are our kids spending with their screens in non-school-related activities? Our friends at Common Sense Media have released the results of their most recent media use survey. Overall, media use grew faster in the last two years than it did in the four years prior to the pandemic. It rose 17% among both teens (13-18) and tweens (8-12) during that time. The infographic below offers a summary of findings. Our hope is that looking at the results will convince parents, youth workers, and pastors to begin and ramp-up efforts at fostering digital discipleship. If Jesus is truly the Lord of all of life, doesn’t it make sense that we would seek to honor and glorify Him through our use of digital technologies? . . .
