When God’s good order and design for His creation are jettisoned and replaced by the wishes and whims of the sovereign self, everything comes undone. Sadly, what is out-of-bounds quickly becomes normalized and humanity exchanges the truth of God for the enemy’s lies. Such is the case with taking God’s good and purposeful gift of sexuality and throwing it aside as something irrelevant and outdated.
This morning, as I prepared some more material for our upcoming youth worker training symposium on “Traditional Biblical Sexuality In A Changing Youth Culture”, I ran across an alarming yet not-so-surprising piece from Neil English posted on the Salvo Magazine blog: LGBTQIA. . . Z? It’s difficult to read, but necessary. . . especially if we want to lead our children and teens into a life of sexual flourishing. Consider it a warning of sorts. . . a peak into what might possibly be a more widespread future. And so, in the interest of informing you of this emerging trend so that you might effectively lead the children and teens in your care, here is what Neil English has written. . . .
The campaign for sexual depravity continues apace. Just when you thought the world couldn’t possibly get more insane, along come the zoophiles. It pains me to define this, but zoophiles are individuals who wish to have sex with animals. God forewarned us about this in the Levitical laws: “Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It is perversion” (Leviticus 18:23). Seemingly all of this has fallen on deaf ears with a group of Germans – self-proclaimed bestialitists – who came out protesting to eliminate the country’s animal protection law, which currently outlaws sexual relations between humans and animals and incurs a hefty fine of $25,000.
In a bizarre clip captured on Twitter, a middle-aged man stands with his German shepherd, telling the interviewer in matter-of-fact terms that he’s currently in a sexual relationship with her (the dog) and that he finds it easier to forge relationships with animals than with humans.
On the other side of the world, a professor of philosophy at the Australian National University, Joanne Bourke, who has held academic positions at Cambridge University, Birkbeck College, and the University of London, caused a public uproar when she announced she would be discussing the “ethics” of humans “loving” animals.
In a forthcoming lecture at the Festival of Dangerous Ideas, scheduled to be held on September 17, 2022, Bourke will give a lecture entitled, What does Loving Animals Mean?, where she intends to explore the changing meanings of bestiality and zoophilia, as well as the ethics of animal loving. . . continue reading here. . .
