As I Promised. . . A FREE Lil Nas X 3(D) Resource Download. . . “Montero”. . .

Last week I posted some initial thoughts the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards and Video Of The Year Award going to Lil Nas X for his song, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”. If you missed initial thoughts, you can read them here.

Since last week, I’ve been listening to, watching, and engaging with the music of Lil Nas X, particularly this song that rose to the top of this last year’s video “cream.” It won. It is being celebrated. And it is nurturing young viewers into celebrating living one’s life outside of God’s good and grand design. In fact, it’s actually a celebration of living into the design of God’s greatest enemy, the wrecker of this world who has come to steal, kill, and destroy. It’s a sobering view that’s been watched on YouTube alone almost 360 million times! I can’t help but feel so sorry for this 22-year-old music icon and those he is leading astray.

As promised I sat down and recorded some thoughts that we’ve put into one of our popular 3(D) music reviews based on our How To Use Your Head To Guard Your Heart 3(D) Music Evaluation Guide To Making Wise Media Choices that’s been taught to tens of thousands of kids by youth workers and parents over the years. (You can learn more about this resource here).

So. . . this week is a perfect time to get this just-released 3(D) review of “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” and put it in the hands of parents, volunteers, and even the students who have watched and are familiar with the award-winning song. You can link to the download here.
